Chief Instructor Paul Walsh

Paul Walsh has been training and teaching in various clubs in various styles of Martial Arts and fitness/bodybuilding over a 22 year period. In this time he has studied Wado Ryu Karate, Shotokan Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Freestyle Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Jiu-jitsu, Open Hand Street Self Defence, Weapons Defence, Pressure Points, Joint Manipulation, Conflict Resolution & Breakaway Techniques.

Paul currently works full time for a homeless charity as he is very passionate about helping people. Paul is also a part time employee of Warwickshire County Councils Youth & Community Service and has successfully run two local youth clubs in Bedworth for the last 3 years.

His targeted work with the local youths has really had a positive impact on the local community and has addressed issues such as anti-social behaviour, underage drinking & drug use, teenage pregnancy, sexual heath, quitting smoking, healthy lifestyles, bullying and crime to name but a few.

His work for the local community has not gone un-noticed with Paul winning a GEM Award in March 2011 for all his good work. Unfortunately due to government cuts the youth clubs futures are looking grim which motivated Paul to set up Pitbull MMA so the young people still had somewhere safe to go to take part in positive empowering activities.

Paul is Black Belt qualified in Kickboxing, Karate & Taekwondo and was awarded his Instructor qualification in 2006 after a lengthy training process. He has since completed his Level 1 coaching qualification, First Aid qualifications including Children & Infant training. He is fully trained in child protection and safeguarding. He holds a clean Enhanced Criminal Record Check.
